  • Regional offices were executing transactions by emailing excel-based data to their Singapore headquarters where they were first stored in a normal file system before they were keyed into their legacy system.
  • Lack of standardization also meant that different offices were carried their own versions of business documents.

  • Elaborate approval processes were in place to maintain better credit control but with management travelling extensively in the region its implementation proved challenging.

  • Approval workflows: Compiere comes in-built with a powerful and flexible workflow engine that was configured to allow management to manage all their approvals online, either through a client-server interface or web. It meant that the management could travel freely without having to worry about pending approvals.
  • Full Connectivity: Regional offices were all connected centrally to the headquarter in Singapore, giving users full inventory/sales/purchase visibility
  • Financial Consolidation: With close to 10 subsidiary companies within the holding company, end of period financial consolidation was always a challenge requiring the effort of a few accountants. With Compiere's 'one-click' consolidation feature, accountants could now spend more time on analysis.
