Founded in early 1908s, Care Corner is committed to achieve the objectives to serve,strengthen and support families by providing a range of quality services.

With more than 20 centres all over Singapore, Care Corner Singapore has designed various programs for students, children, family,adults and the elderly. Its services includes family counselling, child care, elderly care and training.

Facing rapid growth of its operation,Care Corner identified the need to upgrade its existing financial system to be a more robust and cost effective solution. 

Key Challenges

The previous accounting system does not allow data import to be done easily by the end users and detailed transactions cannot be tracked for each individual centres. This results in much manual effort required in the preparation of financial reports and management reports.

Generating of management reports by individual programs run for a single centre or across multiple centres is almost impossible without much manual effort.

With the introduction of accounting and auditing framework from the government, a more robust system has to be put in place.

The Next-Generation Open Source Solution – Compiere ERP & CRM

After evaluating traditional proprietary accounting systems, Care Corner also came to know about the availability of Open Source accounting system - Compiere.  Considering its cost effective and powerful in financial reporting, Compiere was selected to the system to be implemented for this fast growing charity organisation.

More importantly, Compiere delivered the functionality Care Corner needed.

Faster Data Update

Rather than inputing data for each centres, the finance users can make us of Compiere data import functionalities to import data given from the family centres to the Compiere system. This makes updating of accounts receivables for each individual customers much easier and effective.

Greater Visibility

Compiere provides high visibility on income and expenses for each legal entities, centres and programs with tools that make reporting much simpler.

Managers can view timely invoice and payment information for each customers.
